I think it has come time for the moderators of Nusudios to do a little cleaning. In the past couple months we have seen the new site's birth and initial growth, and more recently a decrease in the participation of people on this board. I think its because this site is too big. There are many forums that essentially amount to the same thing, however with the way the site is organized it is confusing for people to post and participate. The point of these forums is for people to frequent and use, and some re-organization will help that process.
There are forums that are not being used. There are 3 forums with less than 5 threads in them. Ok, 6 after I've posted this thread. And if you look at those forums, you'll see one of the treads is spam-- nobody has even noticed.
I urge the moderators to think about making the following changes. The "General Dance" section could drop down to about 1 or 2 forums, and the "Events, Classes and Gigs" section can become just one forum. I think some "forums" could just as easily be sticky's-- for example, "site feedback," and "how to use nustudios" seem to be just taking up space-- and they are some of the first things you see when you scroll down the page. Also, how many months in, and we still have an entire forum dedicated to introductions? That could also be a sticky.
I see that there are a lot of "active users" on Nustudios, however if you look at the people posting threads and forums, you will see the same handful of people. Getting rid of and consolidating little and unused forums will help clean up and make the remaining forums easier to access and more digestible, ultimately making it easier for people to participate. Personally, I'm happy to see that Nustudios has so many members, I'd just be happier if more of them participated.
