Jennie...from the Block

Hi everyone, my name's Jennie. I'm in Ceech's beginning class (I'm not the one that collected money for the sky high event) and this is the 1st time I've taken hip hop class. The only hip hop I've done before this was the usual clubbing...oh and in college I would clown around with my friends and we would pretend to battle with our wannabe moves. I'm originally here from the South Bay, and I went to undergrad in San Diego and grad school in L.A. Now I'm an engineer (represent!) developing server processors...yes very geeky...

I did ballet and ballet performances (13 years!) and took classes and competed in tap, jazz, and acro (those lasted 4 years). I completely stopped dancing when I went to college, and a few times I tried to take classes again, but I never found a good, challenging teacher. :( 20+ pounds and 9 years later, I'm back trying to get into dancing again...and this time I found an awesome teacher, YAY!

About me...I <3 travelling, anything Disney, doing/saying silly things to make people laugh, watching movies and TV (Smallville, Heroes, and The Office are my favs!), and just hanging out and joking around with my hubby and friends. :D

I come across shy at first but once we get to talking we can easily be bestest of friends! Say hey if you see me around!

Jennie from the Blizock is hella cool. We are both in the beginning class together, and she's always up front and knows what she's doing. With all those years of ballet, tap, and jazz, it's no surprise.

And you're one of a small minority of people who is a proud, card-carrying member of the engineering world. Most engineers I know would rather be doing something else. Way to love what you do. Go on wit yo bad self developing those server processors!

I went to high school at Mitty (aka $hitty Mitty) and I've worked at Intel for almost 3 years now.

I'll have to admit though, Mitty was defintely not as cool as Navarro's high school, which had an awesome song that elementary school kids sang all the time..."I wanna be a Bellarmine boy, I never want to marry..." :p (sung to Pop Goes the Weasel btw) If you're curious about the song, I'm sure Navarro can sing the rest for you :)

Ha, I dunno what if the butterfly was on crack. I bet it could do some serious damage, maybe flap so hard you feel some wind? I always thought that it's funny UCSC are the banana slugs. Wtf. Not very intimidating. If you pissed a banana slug off they wouldn't exactly come at you with blinding speed.
