Just wanna let people know to check out So You Think You Can Dance this Thursday. Suga Pop is a choreographer for the locking they will be doing on this Thursday's show, hopefully his choreography will make them shine!
Oh snap, I always wanted for them to showcase a locking routine! Can't wait to see which dancers get it. I'm kinda hoping it's Twitch cause he's the only one I can think of that will be able to do it justice.

At first I was like, no way could this be sugapop's choreo. Makes sense now. I was hoping to see Pop's fro but at least Nigel gave him credit.

I'd like to see this too.
The official site for SYTYCD doesn't have the "POPLOCK" performance but does talk about it.

chuck moldinado is one of the only choriographers i respect.
its just a shame to see that modern/contemporary dancers struggle so much with locking more proof that the show is made for them, not us. They dont have to be good at funk styles and locking, but we have to be good at their ****. We're still getting swept under the rug as a fad sadly, but at least we're starting to peek out.

Oh wow! That was actually pretty COOL!
That's not the same thing the article on the SYTYCD site was referring to. I had thought there was a piece done by one of the couples that was POP's.
http://www.fox.com/dance/episodes.htm Show 421/422
"Tonight's first couple is Courtney and Joshua dancing Hip Hop for their first number.
Courtney is the Bride of Frankenstein with wired hair out into the audience, and a red and black top with black jeans. Joshua is in white doctor's coat and jeans.
The lights flash green and purple across the stage.
The music is "Skippin" by Mario.
The choreography has Joshua pop locking as a tool to give Courtney breath.
At one point she falls back lifeless and he pops her chest then her hips to give her life back.
Lil'C "Joshua, you killed it. Courtney you were good. You guys really had camaraderie." Mary "Joshua you stole the show. Courtney you did a respectable job." Nigel "The character was terrific. His dancing was terrific. You have to bring your dancing up to him Courtney" "
Anyone see this?
Ah, doclock, that piece was actually choregraphed by Dave Scott.
here's the vid if you wanna see it
