hi this is nicole
the first hip hop class i ever took was during the spring '08 semester at ohlone college with power serge.
second day of class he brought in Davin to teach us TURFING! this was the first day of instruction, too.
in what kind of hip hop class do you learn turfing on the first day?!?? haha.

also in the class, three DS Players rolled on by to teach us house, locking, and popping.
i've never been introduced to so many dance styles in one class.
but my fave style was locking SO
now i'm @ mission college in ceech's class! second hip hop class in my life!
it's amazing how nice and supportive all of ceech's students are of each other, that's one of my favorite things about this class. not to mention the cool superfunky stuff we're learning which is totally unlike the content of hip hop classes in the rest of the COUNTRY, it seems. <3
