i'm gonna play devils advocate here and say that voting dosnt matter as far as who will win. Its marketing and business that'll decide it. With that said i dont know who will win. Depends on demographics and other info i just dont have haha.
but who i WOULD like to see is Supreme soul (obviously), Boogie bots (my buddy brian east is in there now) and Super Crew (cause i like what they do!)

yeah, supreme soul are our homies. definitely our local favorites. bionic is my lil bruh.. actually everyone in ss are cool, like family. so my sentimental favorites is with SS.
best of luck to SS.
I'd like to see Surpeme Soul take it too. They got talent to back it up though. I think they got a pretty good chance to win. I just hope they're able to connect to the audience the way Jabba did.
I like SoReal, Super Cr3w, and Boogie Bots too.

Been supporting Supreme Soul for obvious reasons. They are awesome and family to boot. I'm glad to see the focus back on their dancing too. Shane Sparks and MTV had to start things off on the negative with that BS rivalry between them and Jabbawockeez.
Gotta love SuperCrew. Those kats are badass!!
I'm a little disappointed with Boogie Bots, though. I really think they should do more to live up to such a cool name. Really wanted more from them because of that. There is NO popping or botting in any of the pieces they've come out with. This week they had a chance to really go at it with the videogame choreo but it was too soft and somewhat corny for me. They ARE good dancers but apparently only for "standard" hip hop type of performances. Not being mean and hope they can do something to "BOTTIN' " things up!!

Updated with Episode 3.
what you all think with the last episode?
This time they had to implement a word of mtv's choosing into their performance. For example, SS got elevator, SuperCr3w had something like flying.

I think the judges are on their way to repairing the "cocky" image they gave SS in the first episode. I'm really pushing and voting for those guys, but their first impression is what will probably hold them back. Wonder who they'll feature next week?!
Boogie Bots hella came up last week, but I still think their choreo is too messy to really contend. Sickest name for a group though. =D Shoryuken and turning into a Transformer rocked!
Honestly, I think it's Super Cr3w's season to lose at this point. I bet fans have figured out by now that one of them is a Jabbawockee, and after seeing JWZ in the front row of last episode cheering them on, MTV pretty much has them set up to take it all.

so check it. i am voting supreme soul all the way. RJ is my boy. Bionic is my boy. BUT, they are getting the shaft from MTV. Maybe it's their way of leveling the playing field? i dunno...cause however you want to look at it - SOMEHOW, mtv thought they could put Sass x 7 in the same caliber of SS. But that is no longer the point...
Supercr3w is going hard for sure, but i have put it to myself this way: they are wowing everyone the same way Status Quo did last season BUT they are implementing the dance into their show. They are so far in the limelight of the show, and they have a credible enough crew to take it all the way.

I kinda spoiled the outcome of tonight's episode for myself by roaming around the MTV website. Let's just say I don't think voting matters anymore, unless there's something I'm going to watch tonight that validates the episode's outcome. =X

My response to similar post on westcoastpoppin.com:
CJ said it best "If you really love and support your crew, you'd vote for them."
Sheeit, even when I missed the first airings, I'd get ahold of that fkn number to call and do so a bunch of times before the dammn deadline.
I know there's so many fake @$$ people (out there) that just look to point blame "at the media" for F*(king up our dance.
Here was a chance to help move REAL DANCERS (Correction: STREET DANCERS - I believe the other participants ARE REAL DANCERS as well)up in a higher position to show what "our dance" is capable of. They could've taken things to a level where promoters and producers possibly could open their eyes and see "Hey, there's something really deep about Popping and Locking."
So NO, I won't blame MTV (even with that weak attempt to start controversy at the beginning).
I won't blame the "evil media."
I won't blame the "what-do-they-know-mainstream."
I won't blame the '80's exploitation era cause times are different!
Maybe our culture is just too "underground" that it may as well be 6 feet under.
On the positive side: It could go like American Idol - usually the runner ups end up with better opportunities than the actual winner! Hope this could happen for Supreme!
Stay positive!!
SOUL SECTOR's/BEATZnPIECES/and every other group that made up Supreme Soul has always got my love!

Over the last three weeks, I've been staying up until 3 AM PST to vote for them. Last week, I even got on the computer at 8 PM PST (11 PM EST) so that I could vote for them at the same time as the East Coast, and damn near voted every minute until the show finished airing on the West Coast. I even worked out a system of key-presses on my keyboard so I could vote as fast as possible and almost without looking. I could squeeze off a vote every five seconds, even with that Flash-encoded delay. I changed my Facebook status on Thursday nights with the voting URL so others in my networks remembered to vote for them before the voting window ended. I know I did my part to vote and support them when they felt like they weren't getting votes.
Here's one reason that voting -- at least, volume voting by an individual -- in the end isn't the deciding factor in getting a team kicked off. A big red flag came up last year before the finals. I found it very hard to believe that Kaba Modern didn't make it to the finals last year over Status Quo, but since Dunkin' Donuts was the main sponsor, maybe it's not so hard to believe. Go search for a Dunkin' Donuts (https://www.dunkindonuts.com/aboutus/store/) in Irvine (Kaba Modern), San Diego (JabbaWockeeZ), SF (Supreme Soul), Los Angeles (Fish n' Chicks, Fanny Pak), or even Sacramento (state capital with JWZ influence). Now search Boston. You can't tell me that DD didn't put sponsorship pressure on the outcome of the finals. The Boston area is infamous for their love of DD. It's all marketing and target demographics, baby.
Kudos to MTV for replacing their sponsorship with Vitamin Water this season, especially after the sheer amount of booing reported during the taping of the season finale. So much booing was going that they had to stop taping and threaten people to leave if they kept it up. You can easily hear the audience sound cuts they made in post-production for the final episode to make it seem like the audience cheered for SQ. You can even see it in the judges' body language that they were tired of controlling the crowd and keeping up the facade that SQ was even going to remotely contend against JWZ for the first season title.
I have other problems with the show this season, such as Shane Sparks riding Super Cr3w's bandwagon. Don't get me wrong, they're damn good, some of the top b-boys in the world. But how is Shane going to represent b-boying and its validation as a dance style, then turn around and not recognize SS do popping, locking, waving, breaking, and a BIG FAT boogaloo roll in the middle of their Janet piece, and only say "it's the second season, y'all need to come harder?" If JWZ did that, for sure he'd be name-dropping boogaloo as an old-school dance style. I found myself surprised to be agreeing with Lil' Mama's opinion that episode, for once. =P
When Super Cr3w did their kick-ass performance to "We Fly High" by Jim Jones (aka "Ballin'"), they cut to a shot of the JabbaWockeeZ in the front row cheering them on. At that point, they had them set up to go to the finals, since America loves JWZ, and anything JWZ loves, they have to love too. It's even BS that Super Cr3w found their way to the bottom this week, but I think MTV's pulling the same stunt they did with Status Quo when JWZ and Kaba were put at the bottom, even though they were the heavy favorites all season. Of course: if you put Super Cr3w and SS at the bottom, you have to go with Super Cr3w, because they're the JWZ and crowd favorites. That's how MTV explains SS going home, when it's obvious Super Cr3w and SS aren't the two weakest crews on the show at this point.
I don't even blame the "cocky" first impression from the first episode -- it seemed like MTV gave up on that angle when JC pointed out that a different member gets featured in their routines each week. I just think there were three West Coast groups compared to one group from the South and one from the East, and one of the West Coast groups had to go instead of eliminating an entire demographic region's representation from the show. Marketing and demographics.
But why aren't the Boogie Bots gone yet, even though their dancing is consistently not together week after week? Oh, that's right, they're the only group from the East, so they still need to hit that demographic in their commercials. It's all script-written drama for who gets sent to the bottom each week, strategically planned by marketing, though MTV and America knows which two groups should make it to the top in the end.
EDIT: Just watched the MTV web exclusive video (http://remotecontrol.mtv.com/2008/07/24/bring-on-the-waterworks-and-say-goodbye-to-your-soul/) for last night's episode. If voting does have a purpose, it's so MTV knows which geographic regions people are still watching the show and supporting which groups. I don't believe that volume voting by individuals makes a difference; cast one vote toward the group you want, and that's all you should need to do to be represented. I wouldn't believe it if they said Boogie Bots somehow got more votes than Super Cr3w, especially after last week's episode.
C.R.E.A.M. was never truer -- marketing and money makes MTV's world go 'round.

hey poopers
i just off the horn with kool raoul. he says, "boogie bots all the way"
and i was like, uh...ok.
and he said, "you don't even know man"
and then so on and so forth.
Nice post A-Jay. I agree 100%. Randy Jackson and TPTB of the show need to drop the whole region format. It screwed Kaba Modern and the fans for a Jabba/Kaba finale, which everyone was waiting on. It looks like this season is much of the same. I'm guessing the final will be SC vs. SoReal.
Sucked to see SS go home already.

Damn AJ that was pretty insightful. As a marketing person myself, I can see what you're pointing out and it could be a definite possibility (even true but we all know there's ways to cover your a$$).
The point of these shows is not to showcase dancing, its to make money - if you don't get that then i hate to burst your bubble =P . Don't get me wrong, I watch em and fully support dancing on tv when done right (has it been done right yet?) and I definitely voted, but a business exists to make money and figuring out the best ways to go about it (even lying to their viewers unfortunately).
However, if you want go on this show, I say go on it to do what you love and that's dance. Take the criticism, the energy, the vibe, the good and bad and channel it to improve yourself. I mean, whats the point of doing a competition if you're just going to complain. Just my opinion, tryin to approach this from diff angles you know?

Oh yeah, I most definitely agree, if you're gonna go on a show like this, do it to show the world how much dance means to you and your group. For both seasons, the one thing that's been consistent is how hard each of the groups really believes in what they do and how much it connects to their personal lives.
Another great thing about the show is how much exposure the hip-hop dance community has gotten. We've known about JWZ, Soul Sector, Kaba Modern, and even many of the Super Cr3w guys for years, and now they have a worldwide venue to perform in where everyone can enjoy their efforts.
Still sucks that factors outside of dance can influence your longevity on the show, but it's good that the show is giving our dance community a chance to be in the spotlight.

I think it's been done right but not in America yet. =P At least not recently.
I'll make a post on it soon but, the show "Super Chample" in Japan does things right. They've got real "street" dancers running it and being guests on it. and it gives major props to rising and upcoming dancers, especially kids! So for me personally, it's cool to see people doing what they love doing and not for they money or marketing value ya know? I wish our shows didn't have to be that way.
All forms of judging has it's fair share of problems and i've never really trusted their(ABDC) form of voting. or American Idols for that matter. It always feels rigged to some degree and it makes me feel like voting is useless. (This is just for commercialized acts of voting. Not like Presidential voting =P) But the way A-Jay explained it shined some light on the matter for me.
Booooooo to SS leaving though =(. I don't even feel like watching anymore lol. and we should update the poll hehe.

i 'heard' CJ taught the fanny pak chix some finger tuts. let's see if they use 'em tonight...
^^ CJ from Soul Sector? He used to be my manager! He wasn't very nice as a manager though T_T
On the topic though. I think so real is gonna win. Don't get me wrong, I used to be a bboy until my accident, so ofcourse I got love for super cr3w, and I threw it up for fanny pack cause I rock fanny packs, and well...that asian girl in the crew is cute. LOL, but i think soreal just has the groove.

here's my two cents. i think (and thought) it will be super crew to take it.
first, let's look at all the crews WITHOUT gimmicks (aka all the hip hop fusion crews) these guys can't possibly take home the title, because the only thing that will make them stand out is their finesse. so, week after week, it's just everyone just trying to be more 'hip hop' than everyone else...while the gimmick crews just showcase their gimmicks.
now, let's take the gimmick crews. does their gimmick work? masks work. tumbling apparently works. fanny packs an rollerskates work. breakdancing works very well.
as for supreme soul, where do they fit in and why did they get so much love from the other crews? SS is 'repping all styles all day', according to CJ. it's not necessarily a gimmick, but a skill they possess. their finesse was above and beyond the other crews week after week IMO...but in the end, what will you remember? sick and clean choreography, or two girls kissing?

agreed to a point. fanny pak does have the girls kissing after all. they also got the standing ovation and the shane sparks/missy assist. and they even danced with the lower half of their bodies this week. i think they might take it myself.
which makes me all :/ \: cause i love this vid of do knock as michael: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MT-wklV_-vY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MT-wklV_-vY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

So now that Fanny Pak is gone, the group that got the one and only standing ovation from the judges all season -- judges that included future Hip Hop Hall of Famer Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot -- how can you NOT believe this show is... RIGGED?!?!?
LOL yeah. Funny how two seasons in a row now, out of the top 3, the two west coast teams always end up in the bottom facing elimination.
bullllllliishhhh

Yeah..i was really surprised to see Fanny Pack get booted. Their dance style n routines are so fresh and new. I think what it comes down to is your fan base. I'm sure FP picked up a bunch of supporters all over the US, but when you have 2 Cali crews competing against each others, the votes are going to be divided.
Dancing is also very subjective. West coast dance styles might not be impressive to East coast dancers, or midwest crews. That's my guess as to why SoRealCru is still in.
My opinion for the finale? Supercrew vs FP
Final challenge? Perform in each others' styles.
SWEET!
