My name is J.D. Bernal from Dallas Tx.
Started off dancing around 13 years old. (25 now) Mostly breaking at first. Was in a few different crews for the next couple of years. Then breaking kind of fased out. I continued to dance with a good friend of mine and came into a more raving style. Raves became really big here in Dallas for a while. We started a crew and went out and battled everyone in sight. We then joined forces with another crew and became the Underground Grooverz. At that point we were on top in Dallas mixing in Funk Styles with our style. We commanded the dance floor at every club and show around. As everyone started getting older and more busy, we just lost touch. My friend and I still kept dancing and about that time we were always dancing at a club called Times Square. I would always run into John Doe of Soulbotics at the clubs and some of the other VERY few guys around that actually liked to dance. Man he's come a long way since then. After that point I just sort of fell off and lost touch with my friend all at once. :(
But now I'm back!!!! I used to be logged on here as superman or something back in the days. I noticed that there isn't a place to get DVD's anymore. I like the change though. It's nice.
I also still have some of the original clips that some of you guys posted back in the days still saved on a disc.
I started working on boting, isolations, animation style more now. But I really want to get into locking. The problem is, there is nobody here in Dallas that locks, or for that matter even funk stlyes at all. So, hopefully I can get in touch with John Doe and get back into it, but if not, I'll have to just start up again on my own. I started to practice every day now, and have improved a lot in the passed couple of weeks. Thank you guys for keeping it alive, and keeping it funky. It has inspired me to dance again. Well thanks and nice to see some of you again and your progress... I just hope I can catch up now.... :D
