This is the place to talk about Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew on MTV. During the first season, Jabbawockeez (http://jabbawockeez.com/)were able to beat many top groups all over the nation including Kaba Modern, Fysh N Chicks, and Status Quo among many others. Enjoy!
First episode of Season 2

I heard some of the people on Super Cr3w were in Planet Bboy.
The routine they did tonight was friggin insane. From the outfits to the moves, nastyyy

man that is a SICK ass commercial. And it was crazy long too haha. I'm hella jealous of em!
but onto ABDC. I cannot stand it when JC throws up his negligence of...well everything. He needs to be the one to speak first so he stops clinging on to the other judges "big" words and opinions. If the other two never mentioned anything about choreo I feel like doing tricks all day would sell to him.
Ugh I dunno. Just...just go Soul Supreme. =P

Lil mama cracks me up dude. She just starts talkin random ish and it never means anything. She tries to get all intense, talkin about "stab the heart of the chicken, YA FEEL ME?!?!"
No lil mama, I don't feel you.

Hah, seriously...no clue why they asked lil mama to be a judge.

whats funny about JC is that he hasn't changed at all from last season despite his suckiness. I wrote this months ago and it still applies (esp ep2 about super crew)

JC: Uhhhh, yea…lets go back to that slo mo ….
JC: Ummm, yea that move was called the (insert new technique)…
JC: (Say something pretty obvious, then say something negative even if they were tight because I want to sound like a judge).
Shane Sparx: Yea, i dont agree with J.C

Last night was the first time I hella tried to vote as many times and ways as I could haha. I thought Supreme did freaking awesome last week, they just didn't get the votes. Their routine last nite was dope as hell too.
My guess is that right now they don't have a very huge and/or active fanbase at the moment. I'm pretty sure they didn't make many new fans besides bay area folk from the first episode.
But if they can keep surviving i'm sure they'll pull the voters to their side. Supreme nachos ftw baby.
and everyone everyweek is Shane Sparks favorite group. sick of it =/

i liked their evolution pose at the end though. clever stuff. i hope they can hang on next week.
loved the supreme soul routine as well. for a bunch of guys who i've only really seen battle solo or in pairs, they're definitely holding it down.
and bionic got the spotlight this time! that was prolly the first whichaway on TV in a long time, hahaha :D

I've never seen him dance in person but here is his bigraphy from wikipedia ;)
"Sparks was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the youngest of three children to Wanda and Melvin Sparks, police officers. He has two older sisters, Rene and Buffy. Sparks started dancing at the age of 11, when he attended a local Easter Ball.[1] Hooked on dancing from that point on, he performed in hometown talent shows and high school showcases, performing such dances as The Robot, The Running Man, and the Cabbage Patch Kid, and holding rehearsals in his backyard.[2] When his sister's boyfriend was murdered, dancing became even more important to Sparks, as it was his way to escape and feel safe.[3] Other dancers that inspired him included Pop n' Taco, Bob Fosse, Fred Astaire, Michael Jackson, and Paula Abdul.
After graduating from Aiken Sr. High, Sparks moved to Los Angeles in 1993, at the age of 19, to explore a new career. He was part of a dance group named Cold Krush (named after the New York group Cold Krush) that performed in talent shows, then became a singing group called the Cold Premiere, was signed to Giant Records and made a film and some videos, but eventually disbanded. Around this time he was featured in the "I Wanna Be Down" video by R&B artist Brandy Norwood. Sparks then went to a dance tryout at the Millennium Dance Complex (formerly known as Moro Landis) in North Hollywood. When the teacher to one of the hip hop classes was late, someone saw Sparks standing around in a baseball cap and baggy shirt, assumed he was a teacher, and asked him to teach the class. According to Sparks, he had no choreography experience up to that point, and "It was one of those things that changed my life. I didn't even know how to count [in eights]."[3] When the real teacher arrived 15 minutes later, he drafted Sparks as his assistant, and then when the original teacher moved to Japan a week later, Sparks took his place. Under his tenure, the class grew from three students to ten, to two classes a week, to four classes a week, to the biggest class in Los Angeles, breaking records with over 175 students.[2] Sparks then began getting work as a choreographer for venues such as the American Music Awards, as well as getting a modeling and dancing contract with L'Oréal's Matrix hair products. He has worked with artists such as Aaliyah, Monica, Lindsay Lohan and Benji Schwimmer.[4] He also worked as a choreographer on the film You Got Served, and was a judge at the 2004 World Hip Hop Championship.
Sparks is known for his signature hats, and as of 2006 has his own brand name, S Style.
In 2006-2007, Sparks was one of several choreographers including Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Cris Judd, Laurie Ann Gibson and Wade Robson for a two-day hip hop dance workshop, "The Pulse", held in cities across America. One of the workshops in 2006 had 200 attendees, and another workshop in 2007 had over 900."

haha yeah, i was totally thinking about that routine too.
and hmm if you want to go all conspiracy theory about it, someone already had seen it, and set up the hockey vs. basketball clash, with basketball seriously favored.
but that's dumb. america decided. you go all over the boards and people are still labeling SS as the cocky team. people didn't "get" everything about them and rode the jabba's nuts. meanwhile all the other crews get off scott free with no stigma. BB should have been finished this show, but oh well.
at the very least, the canadian in me had fun watching SS kill it on the ice.

//SUPREME SOUL// To The Stars of the Show//
I LOVE each and everyone of our FANS.
YOU are the real STARS...
All we did was dance; which is something we do everyday. It was YOU *the fans* who went out of their way to help us out. It was YOU who kept us on TV for so long.
I sincerely hope I get the chance to meet as many of you as possible, just so I can PERSONALLY thank you.
I am only a single person, from a group of seven...who pursued a dream. Though our ultimate goal was not achieved, the journey alone was an achievement in itself.
From the bottom of my heart.
Thank You,
Rj KoolRaul

Congrats to the winners: Super Cr3w!
What you all think about the last show? It was good to see all of the old crews back together again, esp supreme soul =)
Yeah, props to Super Crew for taking the title this season.
Finale was coo. SC, SS, and FP killed it. That post show was just a wreck though.
I don't know why SoReal has that one dude speak for their group.
"Congrats to Super Crew. They're really talented but we're talented too."
Pretty good season overall. I wasn't as invested as I was last year though. I dunno if they can ever regain that magic of the first season.
Magic Mike

You know what, i wasnt sure about posting about this but whatev, we need some drama haha.
I have a hard time liking so real cru. honestly, i thought they learned from their last episode that they should probably humble down a bit but no, they had to say they were "talented too," and that they are all original, nothing we've seen before? Seriously so real? seriously!?? Come to the bay or go to so cal and trust me, you look the same. Actually, I'd put kaba over them any day in my opinion. They just look like little kids up there.
The girls on the team aren't as cocky, but I'm really sick of the same filipino/asian story where "my parents dont want me to dance but i gotta do what i love" thing. I was all for it when Ryan Conferido said it on So you think you can dance coz he was the first one to tell it all, but wow, I don't need to hear it ALL the time. Seriously, if her parents didn't support her why would they travel all the way to LA to see her perform, plus knowing filipinos specifically, they won't care about your dance life but if you're on TV or you're getting awards, come on, they love that. All they want to do is tell their friends and coworkers and show off their kid.

Dude, the post show was unbelievably horrible. Like serious? All this MTV jazz and thats the best you guys can do?
Funniest part was when the girl said to ASIID, "all right guys we will see you on the tour!" and i dont think they were going, they looked so confused and they than started celebrating because now they think they are going on the tour, but i really dont think they are going to, and the girl was all like yeah, tour for you guys! haha, lets cut to the other guy, whoops commercial. haha.
and than at the end, stick around for more, o wait, they are going to start showing the finale again. and some of the interviews were horrible. haha

I'm still sad that soul supreme didn't make it at least into the final two but it's all good. Besides that, I wasn't disappointed with the final 2 and the final decision.
MTV was able to make an even better show this season, but ya'll gotta remember: first and foremost this is a SHOW! and it isn't really a dance competition that we're all accustomed to. But it still put on for good TV :D
and yeah I gotta agree the post-show looked kinda ridiculous but you know it was all good and fun for the actual competitors there. They've been busting ass for months!
and the West performance was siiiiiiiick! The SS group solo was a lil short but it kinda looked like they made most of the routine anyway haha.

I'm tired of the Asian parents sob story too. Then again, maybe it's because I'm blessed with parents who support me. Guess us first-generation performing arts Asian-Americans just have it tough when seeking parental approval.
Super Cr3w won, no surprise there. I thought it was kinda sad to hear that one guy on SRC have to put that last bit in on the mic: "they're talented, but we're talented too... [trails off]" I'll give the rest of the group the benefit of the doubt, some of the other members looked genuinely happy that they won, but man, that guy ended up looking like a punk for that one. =PPP
West Coast was CRAZY, as usual. At least from YouTube, the other performances didn't look too bad either. I need to watch the re-run on a TV, to see if those Distorted X and SassX7 girls looked as good as they did before, haha.

filipino dancers saying their parents don't support their dancing know that it will just cancel itself out anyway because as we know.... ALL filipino parents just love it when their kids are on tv!!!! What better way to have bragging rights to their barkada (friends) that their son/daughter is on telebision!!!! hahahahhahah.
I'm tellin you! Next season, if we really want to get into the semi finals for sure lets create a team that just cries and fights at practice. Oh, and we're homeless and our parents disowned us because we don't know foundation. Oh, and we love to dance but hate music, but joined the comp to raise money to save a youth center that we practice at (Breakin 2? hahah). Not to mention we're in it for the love! Now if that doesn't bring ratings i don't know what else will. lol
*seriously though, i'm glad supercrew won, I was paranoid for a second because I thought the producers might pull a, "I think we should have a co-ed team win this year because last year was an all guy group" decision. but YESSSS!! supercrew was decided at the end.
