For those who I have not had the pleasure of meeting, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Stacey and I'm one of the producers on the World of Dance Tour (WOD). I work alongside Myron Marten, Robert "Bboy Friction" Garcia, Robby "Bboy Utmos" Power, Dave Gonzalez, and SGX Media on this event. Myron and I will be your main points of contact from now up until the day of the event.

As an update, we are currently in the process of finalizing the line up for the day of event. Once this is done, you will all receive an events packet from me that contains the line up, rules/regulations, as well as other important pieces of information. I know that many of you are concerned about the time in which you perform as this is an all day event. For now, the basic schedule will be layed out as such:

Registration & Check In Begins: 1pm
Doors Open: 3pm
Youth Division: 4pm - 630pm (includes awards)
Upper Division: 630pm - 1030pm (includes awards)

Also, to answer many of your questions...YES, the bboy/bgirl battles will be happening at the same time. There are a few spaces left for anyone that wants to enter the 3-on-3 battle. To enter, please fill out the bboy registration packet (download from the WOD website) and submit to Robert "Friction" Garcia at robertg@worldofdancetour.com.

We have a new flyer out with updated information! Please grab the flyer from http://www.worldofdancetour.com/flye...friscofull.jpg and start posting on myspace, facebook, and any other websites/blogs you have access to (to enlarge the graphic, please hover your mouse over the bottom right corner of the flyer and click on the image). Our website will soon be updated to match the flyer info in the upcoming days. We will be sending each group some printed flyers to pass out so please be sure we have your correct mailing address.

Other things to note:
1) For this particular event, we've had about 15 exhibition teams who are all pro/adult teams and 2 youth exhibition teams. In order to have balance throughout the event and to give our judges adequate time evaluate the teams, some of the pro/adult teams will be performing in the youth division as an exhibition act.
2) There is NO TECH TIME scheduled for any group at this event. This has been stated in your registration packet and will be re-stated in your events packet.
3) All performances must have a performance of 6 MINUTES MAX. Violation of this rule can result in disqualification and dismissal from the event.
4) As of 08/27/08, we are still waiting to receive registration packets from the following talent (if you turned in your registration packets after 08/27, please disregard this message):

Yeah that's definitely the craziest info-overload flyer I've ever seen.

Looks cool though. Yet another event I have to miss. =[ Got a friend's engagement party that day; why must people insist on growing up, and planning stuff that conflicts with battles...

Added a flyer that promotes the events going down on Sunday for World of Dance. $75 bucks all day for workshops sounds like a good deal to me. Help promote it to people you think would be interested!

After seeing the routine last night you guys busted out, I'm so amped for you for this weekend. You guys are gonna kill it. I was super entertained the whole time yall were getting down.

P.S John Chu will be at the event? Ha, so sick. I watch the biggest online dance battle ever all the time on the internet. Plus the dancing was mad fresh in step up deuce.

There are NO GUESTLISTS or COMP TICKETS!

Folks please go online and get your presales because it'll be like $40 a pop (no pun intended) at the door versus $25.

Not that that is a problem...only a drop in the bucket for watching the likes of DS Players, GroovMekanex, and, oh yeah all those other groups, too. :D

I totally lost my voice screaming out for Lil Rebecca, Jay-R, and Lil B last night!!

You all did such a wonderful job in your performance and your hard work and efforts just keep coming through.

So proud of my GroovMekies too!!! Felt so good up on that stage. :)

Thanks to all who came out and supported too! Was great seeing you all there and at Denny's afterwards.
