So You Think You Can Dance (Season 4)

Anybody watching this season? My favorites are Joshua, Twitch, Katee, and Will. Joshua says he's a popper but he does a lot of other styles well. I've mostly seen Twitch popping but I've seen him locking too. They're both killing it this season and could potentially win the whole thing.

We even got someone reppin' San Jose! Katee was born and raised in San Jo and went to Pioneer for HS.

i like watching twitch as well. seen him performed in San Diego last year. he's got many styles and he does them all very well. i hope he makes it far.

i went to high school with this guy: Andrew Blake Ames. He got cut. dang. he was also on the Wade Robson Project. AND...MTV's Little Talent Show.

haha oh what. I remember his audition, not only cause the dude danced in his damn underwear but because he was from fremont haha. There was this other asian guythat they showed before him that was from mountain view. He did some weird **** too lol. Reppin the bay hard!

this was one of my favorite performances EVER on this show from all four seasons.

twitch is one of the best hip hop dancers i've ever seen in my life.


i love the fact that he pops when he hits instead of the "fake hits" that a lot of hip hop dancers do these days.
and for those who don't know--dave scott choreographed this. his choreo is always the hardest to learn from monsters of hip hop

thats still the best performance i've ever seen on the show.

Top 4 dancers for the season finale next week are Katee, Joshua, Courtney, and Twitch!

It's looking like it will either be Katee or Joshua that takes it all.

There's going to be a 'battle' between Robert (the quadrouple jointed popper) and Phillip (the one that does a lot of waves) on the finale. That should be pretty interesting if they just let them battle it out for a couple rounds.

Great to see the top 2 guys in the finale can POP! :) Even the judges are amazed at how well they've picked up other styles of dance, like lyrical, latin, and ballroom without any formal training.

Yeah, he actually auditioned for SYTYCD but ducked out when they went to Vegas. His creative contourtioning is sick to watch.

Top 2 right here!! My hometown bias is rooting for Katee. Love for hiphop bias is rooting for Joshua or Twitch.

The judges voted for Robert 5-1. Off that battle, I would have given it to Phillip.

Oh yeah, Joshua won the whole thing! Props. Katee was the top female so she also won some money. 50g's!

I think he was talking about Robert. Which was weird, cuz he agreed with Debbie but she said Phillip had better musicality. Then he went off to say Rob had better musicality, and that's why he chose him.

Twitch should have been in that battle with them. That would have been dope.

one thing rob knows how to do better than most people is perform and work a crowd. And on a rating based show, popular opinion wins out. I thought pacman won too.

the popping battle...i would have voted for philip. thought he danced more and rob was more tricks, actually more flexibility. rob would win flexibility competition.

I think PACMAN took it dance-wise.

MR FANTASTIC was definitely entertaining to watch.

Of course, this is SYTYCD and is a reality-hype show so I didn't expect anything special from it. I was VERY happy on how they presented the dancers though. It was more of a showcase than a real battle...funny how some comments on YT indicate PACMAN was rude butting in at parts. I didn't see that.

I saw it as a show and a fun one at that.

Battle it was not but a big positive boost for the popping culture...YES!!

Now the only issue will be that folks will compare only to these two as the reference for what popping is or should be. That's A LOT to put on these two young talented entertainers.

Both these kats get on the boards and comment back. I have to admit I really like that. They are truly part of the good side of the community.

Another thing that's funny (though sad) is how on other boards, folks were trashing on Joshua as being a biter. Downright hating on him. The dude can f*(kn dance...straight up!! He wasn't biting anymore than 98% of these others who claim fame to the game.

I'm glad he made it that far (though I haven't been watching this season), just to show that perseverance outweighs all the negativity and jealousies that are, unfortunately, part of our culture as well.
