Nothing else to say that anyone else hasn't said. I still remember first meeting Doc Lock and the positive energy he gives is refreshing. Doc Lock is the most positive, encouraging, person out there. And one funky dancer! I love hearing all his stories of how it was back then. Ask him sometime! Thanks for the empanada's and waters all those times big bro!

I remember the first time i did applejacks in front of DocLock...that was something to behold, hahaha.

For those of you who havent met Doc...get yourself to the Monday night practices. Like everyone has said already, he is very encouraging and positive. Sometimes being a dancer and meeting other dancers can be quite intimidating, and often unsettling, as i know i was a little unsure of what to expect my first time around. But Doc is a very welcoming, genuine, generous and open kind of person. He enjoys seeing new faces, new moves, and new styles, and treats everyone like family. The second time i came back to the guy he shook my hand firmly and said "wsup brutha" (omg he called me brutha!!!) As a veteran dancer, he deserves respect, but he also gives it, and has helped me fine tune my own locking, and the little bit of popping i have started. His criticism is firm and open ended, and wants you to stretch your imaginatin and creativity...he'll react with a generous whoop for something extra funky, so keep that in mind! I couldnt have met a better person at a better time. Hes made a world of difference. Thanks man!

One of the nicest guys ever, and an inspiration to anyone who wants to keep dancing all throughout their life. Doc treats everyone like family, so never be afraid to approach him. It's really something you gotta see to understand. =)

hahaha that video was awesome! Can't agree more with what was said. When I first started getting down in circles this guy made me feel like I was go go brothers or something . Plus, if he missed my freestyle or if I didn't get out there he actually cares. Doc lock, you are the man! Always makes everyone smile when he performs, lots to learn from this guy

sal is the most awesome locker/ funkstyle historian ever. ask him about all his old stories and he'll chop it up about the gold t lockers, midnight persuasion, and diabolical lockers. he'll talk about how he got beat in his first battle by a guy that did the buttslam in front of a market. i have heard 'em all, but there' something in his personality that keep me wanting to hear them all again. i'm glad he got on board with Groovmekanex and i'm glad he had definitely made a name for himself, not just in norcal, but in the dance community in general.
